Singer Jaguar finally gets the Jubilee ticket for Starehe. Charles Njagua popularly known as Jaguar who besides having a successful musical career, has just scooped the Starehe ward MP seat under the Jubilee ticket.

The Jubilee tribunal has ruled in favour of Charles Njagua. But it has not been an easy sail for him

This was after days of literally camping outside the Jubilee offices with his supporters with claims that the Starehe elections were unfair. Initially the incumbent Maina Kamanda had been announced as the winner, but Jaguar contested the result with claims of rigging.

Jaguar was at one point seen shedding tears at the jubilee headquarters  where he cited frustrations.

Upon his win against incumbent MP Maina Kamanda, Jaguar now stands to battle for the ultimate position with Steve Mbogo of ODM and activist Boniface Mwangi.

Jaguar’s political quest was affirmed in February when he resigned from the NACADA board where he had previously been appointed by the President. Having paved way for the youths and other celebrities, we can only wait to see whether or not the singer wins in the general elections slated for August.
