Butere Girls High School is a public girls’ boarding national school in Butere, Kakamega County. The school provides secondary education with an emphasis on academic achievement, character formation and co-curricular participation.
Location and school background
Butere Girls is located in Butere Constituency, off the Kakamega–Bukura–Butere road. Its position serves learners from Butere and other parts of Kenya. Its national-school status has historically allowed it to admit students from beyond its immediate neighbourhood.
Academics and student life
Girls may participate in academic subjects, clubs, sports, creativity, leadership and community service. Available Grade 10 subject combinations and pathways should be confirmed through official school selection guidance for the intended intake.
Admissions
Parents should use the Ministry of Education’s placement process and check the school’s current joining instructions. Confirm reporting deadlines, uniform specifications, boarding supplies and any required health documentation.
Fees, payment and KCSE results
Ask the administration for the latest signed fees notice and authorised payment methods. Do not transfer funds to accounts copied from old websites. For academic performance, request results for the specific KCSE year of interest rather than relying on unverified school rankings.
