In 1984, Francis Waititu joined Surrey Coffee Farm as an Estate Manager and in 1996, moved to Muiri Coffee Estate in Thika at Ngungugu Farm, in Gatundu at Sunflower Farm, in Machakos and Saramwai Estate in Nyeri as a Group General Manager. In March 2013, Francis Waititu joined the Kenya National Assembly as a Member of Parliament.
