The latest of such suits, as managing director of Erad Supplies, saw him being involved in a long-running court battle with the National Cereals and Produce Board over the supply of 400 metric tonnes of grain worth sh500 million.
He was also involved in legal tussles with Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero, Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala (during his stint at the Mining Ministry) and former President Daniel arap Moi’s daughter Jennifer.

Jacob Juma lived a flashy lifestyle and was never shy to show it off. During an interview with the Daily Nation last year, Mr Juma turned up in a chauffeured Rolls Royce Phantom, a car associated with the richest in society. He routinely wore designer suits imported from major fashion houses in Europe and his office was a collection of some of the most expensive furniture. He was known to shop in high end places in Dubai and London
He was never afraid of confronting the high and mighty with serious allegations. President Uhuru Kenyatta, his deputy William Ruto, Supreme Court Judge Njoki Ndung’u, High Court judge Justice Isaac Lenaola and senator Kipchumba Murkomen are some of those who suffered his wrath.He bashed the Jubilee government while armed with several “exposes” on mega corruption. He fell out with senior government officials, after losing out on a multi-billion shilling deal three years ago.

Jacob Juma’s death

Jacob Juma, was shot dead Thursday May 5th around 10pm.
The slain Nairobi businessman, Jacob Juma, spent most of Thursday going about his businesses in town without showing any signs of stress.

He spent the mid-morning hours in lawyer Ahmednassir Abdullahi’s office in the central Nairobi and he looked very fine with no indication that he was troubled and then went for lunch at the New Stanley.

After he left The Stanley, Jacob Juma drove to his offices near the Hungarian Embassy in Lavington where he spent most of the afternoon.

Details between when he left his office to the time he met his death in a hail of bullets near Lenana School on Ngong Road as he drove home, however, remain hazy.
Police officers heard gunshots and rushed to Lenana Road near Southern By-pass. They found a dark blue Mercedes Benz registration number KAL 007W having lost control and landed in a ditch.
Mr Juma, who was alone in the car, was found dead on the driver’s seat. His phones, cash and other personal items were intact.

Jacob Juma, who recently claimed to have transacted a deal worth billions of shillings, was a known critic of the Jubilee administration.

How Jacob Juma predicted his own death

Slain controversial Nairobi businessman Jacob Juma appeared to have predicted  his own death going by the posts on his social media accounts.
He made his first claim on attempt on his life on December 10, when he alleged that a senior government official was obsessed with killing him.

Jacob Juma said a meeting had been held the previous week.

Seven days later, he proclaimed that he had reached the pinnacle of his life and was therefore not afraid of death.

Then on March 1, 2016, he offered himself as the sacrificial lamb in order to end corruption.

Three weeks later, on March 25, 2016, he made the same offer.

Then on April 10, this year, he made this promise about DP William Ruto when he gets to heaven.

‘I am glad that William Ruto knows that i hte him. If i get Ruto in heaven, i will request God to send me to hell’
