Kipsigis Girls High School is a girls’ boarding school near Kericho town in Kericho County, along the Kericho–Litein Road. It has a long history of providing secondary education for girls in the region.
History
The institution began in 1955 as an African girls’ boarding school with one stream. It expanded its secondary section in 1965 and later offered advanced-level classes before Kenya adopted the 8-4-4 education system. Its successive changes reflect the development of girls’ education in Kenya.
Educational mission
The school’s traditional mission is to provide a supportive environment for quality education and moral development. Academic study is complemented by sport, clubs, leadership training and opportunities to build character and responsibility.
Admissions and learning pathways
Parents should use official public-school placement guidance and check the senior-school pathways and subject combinations available to the relevant cohort. School arrangements and admission requirements may differ from older Form One placement procedures.
Fees, boarding and examination results
Request the current fee structure, approved payment methods, boarding-item list and reporting instructions from the school. Use authenticated year-specific KCSE results to evaluate academic performance.
