Kirinyaga University (KyU) is a public university in Kutus, Kirinyaga County, Kenya. The institution was previously Kirinyaga University College, a constituent college of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. It received its university charter on October 7, 2016. Its current name is Kirinyaga University; this article retains the historical 2016 permalink to protect existing links.

Kirinyaga University College was established in 2011 and admitted its first students in 2012. After receiving its charter in 2016, the institution expanded beyond its original programmes.
