Muthoni Wa Wainaina popularly known as Mzima Mzima, is a celebrated Kameme FM sports anchor who describes herself as a multi-talented Radio presenter, Musician, Dj, Sports anchor and commentator as well as a Business lady.

Family
She was born in Eldoret and later raised in Nakuru. Her parents are Bernard Wainaina and Monica Wangui.
Education
Mzima schooled in Gitwe Girls Secondary School and was later transferred to Uthiru Girls between the year 2004-2007. While at Uthiru Girls, she was the christian union chair lady. She later joined NIBS college where she studied journalism.
Career
While growing up, she wanted to be a lawyer, as she was inspired by his uncle who was a lawyer and supported her financially while she was schooling . His father however wanted her to become a doctor while her mother wanted her to be a pilot. At an early age, his father had noted that she had interest in reading newspapers and she also says that she had interest in listening to media personalities such as Fred Machoka. When she missed the chance to become a lawyer, she went for journalism.
Her career started in Bahasha FM and later met Gatundu member of parliament, Wanjiku wa Kibe who paved her career path as a sports anchor in Kameme FM. Her talent in music was discovered by the late Kamaru who encouraged her to venture into music due to her good voice. She is also Planning to get into politics come 2022 as a member of parliament.
