Mike Sonko posted on his social media accounts on Monday November 2nd, 2020, passing a message of condolences to the family, relatives and friends of Dr Robert Ayisi who allegedly had succumbed to covid-19 complications. In his post he wrote,
“It is with great sorrow and sadness that I announce the death of Dr Robert Ayisi, former County secretary and CEC Health, Nairobi County Government who has also served for a few months with my administration. He will be remembered for his role in streamlining the health sector in Nairobi County,” Sonko said in his post.
“My deepest condolences to his family, relatives and friends, our thoughts and prayers are with you during this trying moment. You can count on our support. May his soul rest in eternal peace. Covid-19, especially the 2nd wave is real,”.
It however emerged that Dr Robert Ayisi is stilll alive and admitted at Mater Hospital in Nairobi where he is still receiving treatment. Sonko has since deleted his post from his social media accounts.
