National Bank Kenya Mobile Banking: NatMobile App and *625# Guide

National Bank of Kenya mobile banking uses the NatMobile app and the USSD code *625#. These channels allow eligible customers to check balances, transfer funds, pay bills and access selected other banking services. This guide replaces the original 2016 mobile banking charges and references to mobile operators or services that may no longer apply.

What NatMobile can do

National Bank lists account balances, mini-statements, transfers to M-Pesa and Airtel, PesaLink and internal transfers, airtime purchase, bill payments, account transaction alerts, supported card services and NatCash agent withdrawals. Availability can vary with customer status, app version and transaction rules.

How to register and use *625#

If already registered, dial *625# from your registered mobile number and follow the menu. If not registered, the bank says to visit a branch with identification to complete the required registration. Use the phone and SIM card associated with the account, choose an appropriate secure PIN and confirm recipient details before approving transfers.

Installing NatMobile

Download the genuine NatMobile app from the official mobile app store using the bank’s published instructions. Register or activate it with the current NatMobile phone number and PIN, subject to the app-specific verification process. Avoid downloading banking apps from unsolicited messages or unknown APK websites.

Fees and password recovery

USSD access may incur mobile-network airtime charges. The old 2016 table listing fixed prices for account transfers, PIN changes and balance enquiries is historical and may not reflect the current tariff. For a forgotten PIN, National Bank advises visiting a branch or following its currently approved reset procedure. For a stolen phone, urgently contact the bank and mobile operator.

National Bank contacts and ownership transition

Official customer care numbers include 020 282 8900, 0703 088 900 and 0732 118 900. The bank’s transition under Access Bank ownership does not mean customers should follow unofficial instructions to reset PINs, send deposits or move accounts. Rely on formal notifications.
