Upon completion, she joined Moi Girls Secondary School in Kajiado for her Kenya Certificate of Education (KCE) where she sat for her exam in 1985. Between 1986 and 1987, she attended Moi High School in Kabarak for her Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (KACE). In 1993, Peris Tobiko got a job at Ministry of State in Provincial Administration and National Security as a District Officer in Embu and in 1994, joined the Ministry of Agriculture in Livestock Development and Marketing as an Assistant Secretary. From 1995 to 2007, she employed at National Social Security Fund as a Benefits Manager, then in 2008, at Centre for Multiparty Democracy, she became a Board Member. Between 2000 and 2013, she worked in Various Donor Agencies as a Consultant. In 2009, she joined the National Museums of Kenya as a Board Member till 2011. From 2010 to 2011, she moved to Water Service Trust Fund (WSTF) as a Trustee and then in 2011 till 2012, at Tana-Athi Water Service Board as a Chairperson. In March 2013, Peris Tobiko joined the Kenya National Assembly as a Member of Parliament till now.
