Sabina Chege (born in 1972) is a Kenyan actress, dancer and politician, currently Women’s representative for Murang’a County. Sabina was re-elected to serve the same position under the Jubilee political party ticket in 2017. Sabina is also the current chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee on Health. In 1990s, she gained popularity after appearing as Rehema in one of Kenyans favorite soap Tausi. She is also one of the vocal legislators in the Mount Kenya region. Sabina Wanjiru had her primary education at Kinyona Primary School. After which she joined Mugori Girls High School for her Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) and sat for her final exams in 2000. Career
She was an actress and portrayed as Rehema in the popular Kenyan television series, dubbed Tausi. She was a dancer where she appeared in the music album of Benga musician John De Mathew. From 2002 to 2005, Sabina was a radio presenter at Kameme FM. Then she quit her presenting job at Kameme to join a communication firm, Space Africa, as the Regional Manager in 2005.
In 2007, she joined the Kenyan Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) where she worked as the program controller. In 2013, She kicked off her career in politics and won the Murang’a women representative seat on a TNA ticket.
