Samuel Muchoki who popularly known as Samidoh is a Kenyan Kikuyu musician well known for his hit song ‘Ndiri mutwe mwega.’ He is also a serving police officer since 2013, that’s he joined the services in 2013 and graduated in 2014.
Samidoh was brought up by a humble family in Subukia, Nakuru County. His father died while stile young and later his mother followed. After the death of their parents, his five brothers were kicked from their Subukia home by their father’s brothers and went to Nyandarua County where they settled. His mother was lost when he was in form one and his life was really affected. He sung in his song ‘Niwathire Naihenya’.
After finishing form four, he left his home and moved to Nairobi, where he joined his elder brother who was a drummer for Kamande Wa Kioi’s band; Sam then joined in as a backup singer for Kamande wa Kioi. When the things were not working out, he decided to study but still performing occasionally. He later joined the Kenya Administration Police and was posted in Daadab from where he launched his music career with his single ‘Ndire Mutwe.’ He has ventured into gospel with his latest release ‘Murata Wa Ngai’ which is the hit song.

Samidoh is married to Edith Muchoki, who was his first love who he first sang about. They have been blessed with two cute kids.
Career
The Administrative Police Officer joined the service in 2013 and graduated in 2014. He was first posted to Eastleigh, Nairobi, and this was his first operation. Thereafter he was posted to Mpeketoni in Lamu County. He was transferred to Dadaab in Garissa County, after serving in the Coast region. He was again transferred to Athi River in Machakos County, where he is now.
He is loyal to the force and does not plan on trading his gun anytime soon, despite his newfound success in music.
