Why UHURU forced MIKE SONKO to sleep at State House with him!

Flamboyant Nairobi Senator, Mike Mbuvi Sonko, spent a few days camping at State House, Mombasa, last week helping President Uhuru Kenyatta out with the upcoming Malindi by-election.

Reliable sources intimate that Uhuru asked Sonko to spend nights at State House with him to strategize on how Jubilee will clinch the Malindi Parliamentary seat, which belonged to ODM, after he appointed former MP, Dan Kazungu, to Cabinet.

The President trusts Sonko to deliver the Malindi seat to Jubilee due to his vast influence and political network in the region.

Although he was elected as the Senator for Nairobi, Sonko enjoys a massive following in the Coast, especially in Kwale, Mombasa, Kilifi and Malindi. Besides, he’s got some influence in Taita Taveta due to the high number of Kambas there.

The Coastal people consider Mike Sonko as one of their own by virtue of having been born there and they trust him and so does Uhuru.

Sonko and Uhuru have been meeting up to very late at night for the last three weeks that Uhuru has camped at the Coast to ensure they beat Raila in his own zone come March 7th.
