Kazungu Matano is a Kenyan comedian popularly known as Otoyo Cleopas Awinja aka Captain Otoyo. Otoyo is one of the more seasoned comedians in the Kenyan industry and besides his talent, as a comedian, he has once been a radio presenter at QFM and also a co-host of NTV’s Offside with Obinna. Captain was famously known for the common Tv Programme on Citizen Tv called Papa Shirandula, But before all the fame, he was just a Kenyan youth who would do anything to rise as best comedians in the country.

He easily gelled with Mutoko to make the morning show the most popular in Kenya at the time.

Otoyo has also been the brand ambassador of Molo Milk, Falcon rice and Safaricom. He told SDE’s Rose Kwamboka that he is very careful about the brands he works with. He turned down endorsement deals of brands that he felt, do not have a future or are not reminiscent of my brand and what he stands for.

Milele FM presenter, Captain Otoyo was on the news after he was exposed by a girl he impregnated and refused to take responsibility. The girl accused him of blocking her on all platforms after she told him that she was carrying his baby. He was alleged to have fallen out with his girl, Mashirima Kapombe who could not live with his promiscuous ways according to Ghafla who first broke the story. He had parted ways with his wife, Mashirima Kapombe over claims of infidelity.
