Gathoni wa Muchomba- Biography, Age, Marriage, Family, Career, Daughter.

Gathoni wa Muchomba is a media personality and currently a politician. Gathoni was born and brought up in Komothai, Githunguri. Gathoni is the current Women Representative for Kiambu county.

Gathoni joined Precious Blood Riruta after being emerged the best in her district in her KCPE exam where she was almost forced to drop out due to lack of school fees, at one time but a Good Samaritan came to her help. Coincidentally, the Japanese national was a volunteer teacher at the same institution her mother worked as a casual labourer, Komothai Girls School.

She detested half-term breaks because her mother could not afford the Ksh.2 for her bus fare, while still at Precious Blood. This meant she had to hike a lift and if she was not lucky, she would stay home for some days. She then joined Makuyu Secondary School as an untrained teacher. Few years later she was enrolled at the University of Nairobi for a Bachelor’s degree in Education. She was offered a job by one of her lecturers while in her second year, a job which saw Gathoni’s travel around the country documenting the farmers’ activities at the grassroots level. These activities saw her clips aired on KBC, which later gave her a job as a radio presenter at Kameme FM while in her 4th year of study.

She is a very private person when it comes to her personal details and hence her real age is not known though will be updated as soon as it’s available.

While she was in fourth year, Rose Kimotho was about to open a vernacular radio station Kameme FM where she got the job and started airing the popular Canjamuka show in 1999. She would be at the radio station for entire day, after which Gathoni would return to campus to work on assignments and study.

Royal Media Services Chairman S.K Macharia approached her in a church and persuaded her to quit Kameme for his radio station, Inooro which was yet to be launched by then in 2004. Macharia tripled her salary which motivated her to join Inooro. She ruled the airwaves for three years with local polls ranking her as the favourite vernacular radio presenter while still at Inooro.
