Between 2008 and 2011, Gideon Mulyungi joined the Ministry of Public Works-Government of Kenya as a Works Secretary. Then Gideon Mulyungi, in 2012 till 2013, still at Ministry of Public Works-Government of Kenya, was promoted to Permanent Secretary. Between 2014 and 2015, Gideon Mulyungi joined the Tectonics as a Chairman. In 2015, in Wiper Democratic Movement, Gideon Mulyungi was appointed Executive Director. In 2017, he joined the Kenya National Assembly as a Member of Parliament for Mwingi Central.
