James Lusweti Mukwe is a Kenyan politician and a current Member of Parliament for Kabuchai Constituency in Bungoma County. James Lusweti has been a member of the FORD Kenya, since 2013 and an Aspirant Member of Parliament of Republic of Kenya representing Kabuchai constituency.
James Lusweti was born on October 8th, 1961.
Between 1975 and 1981, James Lusweti attended Sanandiki Primary School for his Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE). He passed well and went to Kimukungi Secondary School for his Kenya Certificate of Education (KCSE) from 1982 to 1985. He then joined Chepkoilel University to take a Diploma in Public Administration from 2011 to 2012.

In 1987, James Lusweti got his first job at Kenya Posts and Telecommunication Corporation (KP&TC) as an Accounts Clerk till 1992. Mr. Lusweti later joined the politics in Bungoma County Council as a Councilor in Chwele Ward from 2002 to 2007. From 2004 to 2008, he was appointed by Bungoma County Council as a Chairman. In 2008, he was re-elected at Bungoma County Council as a Councilor in Chwele Ward till January, 2013. He was in Kenya National Assembly as a Member of Parliament for Kabuchai Constituency since March 2013.
