Then in 1979, Jayne Kihara moved to the Gailey & Roberts Limited as a Personal Assistant to the Sales Manager until 1981. Between 1981 and 1985, Jayne Kihara was employed at Philip Morris Services Incorporation as a Personal Assistant to the General Manager. From 1986 to 2004, Orbit Chemicals Industries LTD gave her job as a Transport Manager and while still at Orbit Chemicals Industries LTD, she was a Credit Controller role. In March 2003, Jayne Kihara worked in Kenya National Assembly as a Member of Parliament for Naivasha Constituency till 2007 and she was in Kenya National Assembly, she was appointed Assistant Minister in Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources. In August 2017, Jayne Kihara joined the Kenya National Assembly as a Member of Parliament for Naivasha Constituency.
