When are KASNEB examinations held?
KASNEB’s published examination resources list three regular examination periods each year: April, August and December. Individual paper schedules and booking deadlines are issued for each sitting. The previous version of this article referred to outdated timetables and a twice-yearly cycle; readers should instead follow the current examination-year notices.
How to download your KASNEB examination timetable
- Visit the official student portal and log in with your registered email and password.
- Choose Examination Booking from your account.
- Select Student Booking and then Student Timetable.
- Select the appropriate sitting and view the timetable for the papers you booked.
- Download or print the current timetable and check the examination centre and reporting instructions.
The general timetable on the website may include papers you are not taking. Your own portal booking and final instructions determine which papers and venue apply to you.
KASNEB past examination papers and the e-Library
The official KASNEB e-Library includes previous examination papers, official syllabuses, reading lists, ebooks and journals. The published access conditions include an annual e-Library payment of KSh 1,000 for eligible KASNEB students and graduates; eligibility and charges should be reconfirmed in the student portal before paying.
Other resources may be available through accredited training providers. Avoid pirated question papers or third-party sites requesting passwords and student details. Past papers are revision resources, not a promise that the same questions will recur.

Use the official course catalogue to establish the current qualification title, entry requirements and syllabus. Historical qualifications and papers shown in older directories may no longer be offered to new applicants.
How to register, book an exam and view results
The KASNEB student portal supports creating an account, applying for a qualification, submitting identification and academic documents, paying invoices, booking examination papers, applying for exemptions, downloading timetables, retrieving result slips, renewing a registration and requesting certain certificate services.
- Select the correct qualification and confirm the minimum entry grade.
- Create an account using personal details matching your legal documents.
- Apply and upload the requested supporting records.
- Review the official invoice and complete payment through the student portal’s current options.
- Once registered, book papers in the available sitting and check the allotted exam centre.
- After the results release, sign in and open Examinations Results for your result slip.
KASNEB fees and candidate safety
KASNEB publishes distinct charges for registration, papers, exemptions, renewal and reactivation on its official fee page. Training-college tuition is separate. Avoid using old bank accounts or arbitrary paybill numbers; always confirm the invoice and authorised payment method from the authenticated student portal.
