Betty Bayo- Biography, Wedding, Married, Husband, Divorce, Victor Kanyari exposé, Children.

Betty Bayo, is a popular gospel musician known for her hit song 11th Hour.

Betty Bayo was born in Banana, Kiambu, but brought up in Ol Kalou before moving to Kiambu town. Betty Bayo dropped out of school in Form Two for lack of school fees.

Betty Bayo worked as a house help in Kiambu earning Sh70 a day, for two years before a family offered to pay her school fees. Betty Bayo got married to Victor Kanyari in a private wedding late 2011. Betty Bayo and Kanyari had a daughter.

Here is the interview on Victor Kanyari  expose with Betty Bayo.

How long have you two been married?

Three years.

He calls himself Dr Prophet Bishop Victor Kanyari?

What kind of a man is he? Before all the drama, we were a normal couple. He is a witty man and fun to be around. He is also is dedicated to what he does.

When we dated, he was not as popular as he is now.Betty Bayo

How was it watching the the exposé?

My phone was off until 9pm. When I switched it on, messages started flooding in. Some were abusive. I was confused. I logged on to Facebook and learnt that my husband’s story was being aired. I was shocked by what I saw. It was like a dream.

What was your reaction to the breast touching episode?

I fainted. I couldn’t believe it. When I am with him, 95 per cent of his talk is about church and the gospel.

Do you think he should return what he got through ill means?

If it was possible, I would wish he does.

But was it new to you? Aren’t you always with him during services as he performs his ‘miracles’

I have my own singing ministry, which he supports. When we got married, we agreed that we would each continue with our ministries. I was already a singer and he was a pastor. We agreed I do my singing as he does his preaching. Most Sundays I go to other churches or to concerts to perform.

Before you married him, his mother was accused of being a false prophet. Did that not concern you?

When his mother was making news, I was young and it did not bother me so much especially after meeting her. I didn’t know the son would take after her.

It seems that church business runs in the family as his young brother Jackson Waweru also has a church.

Yes, in Umoja.

Is it true that friends and family tried to warn you against marrying him?

I followed my heart. To err is human. We learn through mistakes whatever the cost. I have paid dearly.

Do you still swear to stand by him like you have done before?

I will not stand in the midst of those who mock God. I will stand by God.

The general feeling is you knew people were being ripped off and you stood by and watched. Is that true?

I did not know what was going on. I was not party to his clandestine activities. When we met, he had only three people who used to assist him with his job.

They would receive phone calls when he was unable to. With time, the number grew to over 30. Previously, they used to sleep in church but the landlord issued a notice that no meeting should be held after 2am. That is when he converted our home into an office.

Did you do anything about that?

I did and my complaints fell on deaf ears. He said he needed a room to record his radio programmes. I moved out and let him be. That is when I started to notice strange things.

What do you mean strange?

People going to our house to pray. I also heard the stories about fake miracles and blood, but did not believe them.

What did you do?

One thing people may not know, is that he only listens to his mother (Lucy Njoki), no one else. When I noticed that our home had been converted into an office, I moved out. It is six months now. We disagreed on it. He later came to apologise and we were all good once again.

Have you ever witnessed him heal someone?

It is God who heals and not a person. I used to hear the stories and I never knew things were that bad. Actually, when I heard about the stories, all I could do is pray for him. What I saw on the television was just shocking. I couldn’t be involved with, take for example, mixing potassium permanganate with water to make it look like blood. That is not just me.

When big money started coming in, was that not proof enough?

I know this may sound strange, but we only met in the evening when he came home. I had questions, but I kept them to myself. His church money was his and he would do projects with his church members. When he came home, all we talked about was our young family, but I was never got involved with his money.

Have the two of you talked about it?

I have not seen him or talked to him since. His phone is switched off. I am sure he is not ready to face me after living a lie.

Are you going to divorce him?

I will not leave him for now. I need time to pray and consult with my God for guidance. I can only let God take control of the future.

A while back, a woman claimed she had a baby with your husband. Did that not raise alarm bells?

That woman lied. When her son died, she did not have someone to help her transport the body to the mortuary. My husband who is her pastor offered to help. The child was not his.

What do you want to tell your fans?

I will continue singing. I know that God has not forsaken me. My husband Kanyari, who I am sure is reading this, should seek forgiveness from God and apologise to Kenyans.

Betty Bayo Seperated with Victor Kanyari

Much happened when investigative journalist Mohammed Ali went full throttle on Pastor Victor Kanyari, and unearthed lots of unorthodox ongoings in his downtown Nairobi church.

Before the hard-hitting TV expose, many did not know the controversial cleric was husband to mellow-voiced gospel songstress Betty Bayo.

What followed the expose was a confirmation from Betty Bayo that she had separated from Kanyari.

Details later emerged about Betty Bayo the 11th Hour hit singer being pregnant, but there was speculation about the paternity of the child. Betty Bayo gave birth late December last year.

Some quarters claimed Kanyari was not the biological father of the child. In an interview with a local publication, Kanyari revealed that indeed he was not the father.

Betty Bayo: Bleached

Even after “fleeing” to the US for her music tour last year, all was not well with Betty Bayo.

This was even evident in photos Betty Bayo posted after returning to Kenya months later. Betty Bayo seemed to have gained a lot of weight, or to have undergone some sort of plastic surgery.

On  Betty Bayo social media pages, fans and friends questioned her about the drastic changes in her appearance.

Sonko George Kay wrote: “Welcome our dear one, and I hope you haven’t done any plastic surgery coz you look totally different from our Betty Bayo.

Flo Mwangi Munene asked: “Why are you so plump.. Kwani umetoka kuvera sidika [sic] ?” This loosely translates to: “…Did you do what Vera Sidika did?”

Regarding whether Betty Bayo had some cosmetic surgery done, she said: “No, no, no… I was so stressed then but now I am so blessed.”

I did nothing at all about it, just ate well and relaxed. I didn’t even hit the gym and I am so awesome now. Got nothing to compare to the Lord. He is very faithful and has remembered me.”

Betty Bayo Impregnated by another man.

According to Kanyari, Betty Bayo stomach had been growing big each day, which prompted him to confirm whether he was responsible for the pregnancy. Betty Bayo responded to him that she had moved on and the pregnancy belonged to another handsome man. Betty Bayo told the rogue pastor to impregnate his many girls in his church.
