Ken Mijungu is an award-winning Kenyan journalist. He is a lawyer, a Businessman and a senior news reporter and Anchor for NTV and hosts a show, he took over after Larry Madowo had left the station, on every Tuesday 10 PM show.
He attended Joseph Ombo Primary School for his o-level education and joined Maseno school for his secondary education. He continued with his education where he was enrolled at Moi University, Eldoret Campus, to pursue a Bachelor of Laws-LLB. In his completion, he was managed to get a second class honours
In his career, Ken Mijungu ventured in the media world and be part of the screens, the senior news reporter and Anchor at NTV. Back then before joining NTV, Mijungu lived in Umoja Nairobi. In his story, he narrated that when he was on his way up just after law school and to him looking for pupilage was never easy. Residents of Kibera were torching things around and he was a short distance away during 2007 post-election violence. Ken Mijungu borrowed the camera of his brother and went to take footage just for his own use. Fortunately, the K24 crew at that time were there specifically Sheila Kwamboka and Jane Ngoiri, and they arrived at the scene of the violent clashes but their cameras were stolen by those who were involved in clashes. He got the surprise of his life when CCTV Africa and K24 boss Eric Latif called and requested him for the footage and by then he had engaged himself in a taxi driving job.

Fired at NTV
Ken Mijungu revealed throw a tweet on friday 3rd July 2020, that he had been fired by NTV. He had worked with the station for 7 yrs. This is what his tweet read.
“The axe fell @NTVnewsroom and I was on its way. 7 years in those corridors summed up in a two page letter of termination.
“We live to fight another day. Thanks to God, He remains the greatest, thank you @ntvkenya for the opportunity and thank you for always staying tuned,”
This came days after NTV announced effects of covid-19, stating that salary reduction will go on till December, with more job losses on the way.
