Ngoiri attended Kongoni Primary School for her o-level education and joined Pangani Girls High School for her secondary education. She later joined Daystar University to study journalism.
In her career, She began as journalist at K24 as an English news reporter. She replaced a fellow Swahili news anchor who was sick and that was when she shifted to Swahili anchoring. In 2011, she left K24 and joined NTV as a Swahili news anchor. Her anchoring style as well as her unique dressing code were loved by her fans and audience at large.
