The Kenya High School is a public national girls’ boarding school in Kileleshwa, Nairobi, along Mandera Road. It has a long tradition of academic excellence and girls’ education.
School history
The institution traces its beginnings to Nairobi European School in 1910. The boys’ and girls’ sections separated in 1931, and the girls’ school became the European Girls’ Secondary School in 1935. Its name changed to The Kenya High School in the independence era.
Learning and student life
Beyond academic work, boarding-school life provides opportunities for sports, clubs, creativity, leadership and community service. Families should consult school guidance for subjects and senior-school pathways available to the current intake.
Admissions and placement
Admissions to public senior schools depend on the applicable Ministry of Education selection and placement system. Learners should use their official placement results and the school’s authentic joining instructions. Do not rely on old national-school cluster lists as current admission procedures.
School fees, KCSE results and payment
Fee schedules and authorised accounts may change. Obtain the current signed fees notice and reporting requirements directly from the school. KCSE results are specific to each examination year; avoid unauthenticated league tables.
