Mbadi John Ng’ongo is a Kenyan politician and belongs to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM). Mbadi John was elected to represent the Gwassi Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya since 2007. Mbadi John has been very vocal and instrumental in parliament. In September 2012, he was appointed the Assistant Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister till 2013. He is the current Suba Constituency Member of Parliament after he was elected in March 2013. Also he serves as the minority leader in the National Assembly of Kenya. Mbadi John was in the Public Accounts Committee that looked into the National Youth Service (NYS) Scandal.

Mbadi John attended Ligongo Primary School for his Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and later went to Kokuro Boys Secondary School for his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE). He managed to get a good grade which secured him a place at University of Nairobi to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com). He studied for his own to acquire a Certified Public Accountants (CPA). He was enrolled at University of Nairobi to take a Masters of Business Administration (MBA).

In 1996, she got a job at Student Welfare Authority as an Assistant Accountant. From 1999 to 2003, she was employed by University of Nairobi as an Accountant and between 2003 to 2005, he was promoted to Senior Accountant at the University of Nairobi. In 2004, he went to Medair East Africa which’s the South Sudan Programme as a Finance Director till 2008. From 2008 to January 2013, he was elected as a Member of Parliament for Gwassi Constituency. In October 2012, he worked at the Office of the Prime Minister as an assistant Minister till 2013. From March 2013 to 2017, he was a Member of Parliament for Suba Constituency and in 2017, he was re-elected as a Member of Parliament for Suba South Constituence and appointed as a Leader of Minority Party.
