Ndindi Nyoro was born on December 12th, 1985. He is a Kenyan politician, an economist and an entrepreneur. He is currently the Member of Parliament (MP) foRUTO Constituency, Murang’a county. He is in Jubilee Party, the ruling party in Kenya. From 2013 to 2016, he was the Chairman of Kiharu Constituency Development Fund. He graduated from Kenyatta University pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Economics anduytr5 was a student leader. He is the supporter of Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 presidential race and is among the best performing Mp in Kenya.

Apart from being a Member of Parliament, he is an entrepreneur with interests in stock brokerage, communication, construction, civil works, water engineering and drilling and his firms include Afrisec Telecoms, Investax Capital and Telesec. He is a self-madetyt7y75 multi-millionaire, having commenced his entrepreneurship as a cobbler and a hawker in his peasantry teenage life in Murang’a countryside, before becoming a pinnacle of business success with Investax Capital being the largest stock broking agency in the country. He was profiled as among social media users infamous for hate-mongering, before the 2017 Kenya general election. He ceaselessly hurled the ODM party leader, Raila Odinga, with expletives, though, neither National Cohesion and Integration Commission nor police pressed charges against him.

Ndindi Nyoro threw his hat into the ring for the Kiharu Constituency Parliamentary Seat in 2017 and won after scooping 60,881 votes against his closest competitor who garnered 35,181 votes. In March 2019, he proposed a bill in parliament, Anti-corruption and Economics Crime Amendment Bill 2019, which stipulated stringent penalties including execution for those convicted of corruption in Kenya. But the bill drew a flurry of excitement, Raila Odinga slammed it as a ploy to clip powers of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations and Directorate of Public Prosecutions in handling corruption cases in the country. Ndindi and the Speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi, however, denied this and blamed the media for giving wrong information.

Nyoro is a confidante and a key member of Deputy President William Ruto’s inner circle. He is in Team Tangatanga, many politicians in Jubilee Party allied to William Ruto and which is determined to be the fifth president of Kenya after Kenyatta. The antagonists of his team is Team Kieleweke which is opposed to William Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid.

Family

His mother was a peasant farmer while his father a carpenter in Kiandutu slums in Thika and he is the last born in a family of four, three sisters. His father died when Nyoro was still a kid.

Business

Ndindi Nyoro started Stockbridge Securities and he was also working part-time for Ngenye Kariuki & Company Stockbrokers. Through his mentor and the director of the company, Ngenye Kariuki, introduced him to the world of stock brokerage. But Ndindi’s start-up lost many business opportunities due to poor internet connection and after carrying a research in Thika where one of his offices was located, he discovered the cause which was the internet problem that was widespread.

In 2010, he then started Afrisec Telecoms as an internet service provider and now, the firm has 26 employees and its worth is over $1.2 million. In 2016, he co-founded a stock brokerage firm, Investax Capital and because of conflict of interests, he resigned from Stockbridge Securities. Investax is the largest stockbroker agency with several branches across the country. He started another firm, Telesec Africa, that deals with construction, civil works, water engineering and drilling in 2016.

Career

His political career began while he was a student at Kenyatta University when he was elected as a student leader in 2006. He met his friend Senator Mwaura Isaac Maigua and other comrades such as Muchangi Karemba and Kuria Kimani, through student politics in Kenyatta University. In 2013, he was appointed the Chairperson of Kiharu Constituency Development Fund, a position he served till 2016 in order to offer a chance to someone else.
