Nimrod Taabu is a Kenyan news anchor working at Citizen Television. He was working as a reporter at KTN then later joined Nation Media Group as a senior news anchor, before he joined Citizen TV.
He had a very hard time to choose what he wanted, in his thoughts, it was the biggest mistake on his part for not knowing what he wanted to do in life. The first choice was the hotel industry of which he applied for at Utalii College but was unsuccessful. Back then to get admission at Utalii College was not an easy thing. Nimrod decided to go back to the farm and spend more than a year farming with his daddy. He also tried football but that didn’t work. His relative came one day and told him to try and apply for admission at Mass Communication school. He applied for it and the result can be seen today.
In his career, he started working as an assistant reporter at The Standard newspaper since 2000 and later he became news anchor and reporter at KTN where he worked for four years. The establishment of a successful Swahili News Bulletin came as a result of his idea on starting a weekly Swahili News Round-up Programme for the Mombasa audience. He later joined the Nation Media Group as a senior anchor and reporter in the Editorial department where he dwelled on quite some time. He joined Citizen TV till now

Family
He was brought up in a family of six, with both of his parents and having four siblings, he is the third. His elder brother is a chef and his twin sister is a nurse at the Kenyatta National Hospital and the younger sister stays abroad with her family.
Wife
He is a married person. He disclosed information about his wife, Hellen though he hide her behind the cameras. The two have been blessed with two handsome sons. During an interview, he stated that in his youthful days he never had a chance to involve himself with dating, so he one day sat down and planned out what he wanted to do and what he wanted to become, as a family man.
