How to use NCBA *488# USSD
*488# provides a menu-based route for customers whose phone number is registered for NCBA mobile banking. It can be used on suitable phones without the full smartphone app.
- Dial *488# from the mobile number registered with the bank.
- Follow the bank’s menu and enter the approved secure PIN when requested.
- Select account services, money transfers, bill payments or other available features.
- Confirm the recipient, amount and any service charges shown.
- Keep the transaction confirmation for reference.
Some customers may need to complete digital-banking activation first. Check the official bank registration form or speak to customer support if your phone number has changed.
Mobile loans and account eligibility
The NCBA NOW Loans section allows qualifying users to see any available mobile or digital personal loan limit, apply for financing and make repayments. Loan eligibility is assessed by the bank and may depend on maintaining an active account and satisfactory transaction history. Availability, fees, interest and repayment periods differ by product; review the current loan terms shown before accepting any offer.
Banking fees and digital security
USSD access, mobile-money transfers, bank transfers and other services can attract charges. Always review the current bank tariff and on-screen confirmation. Never disclose your PIN, password or activation key. Be cautious about fake mobile apps, phishing links, and anyone claiming to be an NCBA employee who asks you to move money.
