Ronald Kiprotich Tonui is Kenyan politician who was born on 25th August, 1971, Bomet County. Ronald Kiprotich was elected in 2013 general election as a Member of Parliament for Bomet Central Constituency in Bomet County under Jubilee Party ticket and in 2017, he was re-elected. In 2013, Ronald Kiprotich became a member of Jubilee Party.

From 1984 to 1987, Ronald Tonui went to Kabianga High School for his Kenya Certificate of Education (KCE) where he did well and between 1988 and 1989, joined Moi High School in Kabarak for his Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (KACE). Upon completion, from 1990 to 1994, Ronald Tonui managed to secure a space at Kenyatta University, where he was enrolled to pursue a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), Science. In 2009, at Moi University, Ronald Tonui was enrolled in Master of Philosophy (M.Phil).

Ronald Tonui started his career as a teacher at Lelboinet Secondary School in Keiyo South and later at Moi High School Kabarak as a teacher still. Ronald Tonui became the Head of Department Mathematics and Deputy Principal at Moi Amalo Secondary School. Ronald Tonui was promoted to be a Principal at Kipsonoi Secondary where he worked under the same capacity for one year. He was transferred to Kipsuter Boys Secondary School and worked for four Years as principal and later transferred to Kabungut Boys High School working for two Years. Ronald Tonui was again transferred to Kiletien Secondary school for 2 months.

In 2010, Ronald Tonui was appointed Executive Secretary, KUPPET, at Bomet Branch and in 2011 became an Assistant National Treasurer, KUPPET.
