St. Anne’s Muthale Girls’ Senior School, also known as Muthale Girls High School, is a Catholic-founded national girls’ boarding school in Kitui County. Its motto is Committed to Excellence.

Founding history

The school’s official website records that Fr. Sean Doggett and Catholic Franciscan Sisters of Kitui Diocese founded it in 1970 as a single-stream mixed school. Boys were phased out by 1985 as the institution became an all-girls boarding school. It became a national school in 2011 and admitted its first national-school class in 2012.

Academic life and facilities

The school describes science laboratories, a computer laboratory, journalism activities, sport and student leadership opportunities. It also has a bakery and a solar-powered borehole supporting school operations.

KCSE performance

Its website reports a 2025 KCSE mean grade of 8.83. This is a year-specific result, not a guarantee of future performance. Families should confirm examination statistics with official school reports.

Admissions and fees

Students should follow current official senior-school placement arrangements. For each intake, confirm pathways, reporting dates, boarding supplies and a signed fee notice. Avoid using bank details taken from old directories.
